Longboard riding in bigger waves
I ride a longboard. In small waves I’m fine, but when I try to ride bigger waves I nosedive most of the time. Why?
Longboards are shaped for mellow waves. If you are trying to ride shallower waves with your longboard, you need to paddle faster and to put more weight on your back foot when you pop up so as to keep the nose of the board elevated. This should prevent you from nose-diving.
